Big Bend National Park

B ig Bend is part of the National Park System and is located in Southwestern Texas. They call it Big Bend because of the way the Rio Grande river cuts through the landscape. On the map it looks like a "big bend". The scenery there is breathtaking as the following pics were taken in mid-January 1999. It was a beautiful day with the temperature at noon almost reaching 70 degrees.
